Testimonials

  • Christophe SIDA

    Christophe SIDA

    Responsable contrôle de gestion

"My profession demands rigor, curiosity, and a critical mind for data analysis. Strong communication skills are also essential.

With solid experience in financial planning and analysis within the food industry, I joined LM in 2022, drawn by its innovation and market growth.

As a Financial Controller, I analyze data from various software systems, calculate cost prices, value company inventory, and provide management with business performance dashboards. What I enjoy most about my role is developing various steering tools and KPIs that drive company performance and support management in making informed decisions.

In my view, an affinity for numbers and proficiency with IT tools are vital. My work requires rigor, curiosity, and a critical mindset when analyzing figures. Excellent communication is also key, as we collaborate across different departments. On a daily basis, I particularly value the diversity of my assignments and the autonomy I am given."

  • Jean – François DIJOUX

    Jean – François DIJOUX

    Responsable d'achat

Instinct and a Passion for Produce

At 57, Jean-François embodies the memory and expertise of the fruit and vegetable sector at LM. As a seasoned Purchasing Manager, he has witnessed the industry’s transition from "gut-feeling" trading to an era of precision planning, all without ever losing touch with the land where he grew up.

A Destiny Forged in the Soil

Nothing predestined Jean-François for logistics offices, except for his love of the product. Leaving school at just 12 and a half, he cut his teeth directly in farming. Until 1989, he worked at the heart of the fields, expecting to spend his entire career there.

The turning point came at the Saint-Pierre market stalls in 1988. An intuition struck him: why not move to the other side? From seller to buyer, he took the leap. Noticed by a wholesaler during the Florilège festival, he rose through the ranks from grower to buyer before joining LM on January 26, 1997. It is a company he hasn’t left for nearly 30 years.

    The Art of Anticipation

While the "feeling" of the 90s is a thing of the past, Jean-François has successfully adapted his flair to modern tools. Today, his daily routine is a long-distance race against the unexpected:

    • Morning Rigor: Validating the previous day's flows, correcting errors, managing distribution, and ensuring strict quality control during picking.

    • Field-First Approach: Despite his responsibilities, he makes a point of visiting the fields every two weeks and attends the wholesale market on Mondays and Wednesdays. For him, observing the "clearance" of products on the stalls is the only true thermometer of the market.

    • Planning: Working closely with technicians, he establishes production schedules 1 to 2 months in advance. His challenge? Anticipating tomorrow’s needs while managing weather hazards (cyclones, droughts), which remain the ultimate masters of the game.

    Witnessing an Agricultural Revolution

Jean-François tells the story of an era of sacrifice. He remembers the 90s with no days off—17-hour days starting at midnight and ending the following evening.

"The market has changed, the consumer has changed, and the producers have become more professional."

He observes the modernization of farms with satisfaction: better-equipped farmers and a constantly renewed product offering. However, he remains clear-eyed about current challenges, particularly the labor shortage that penalizes farmers when it comes to last-minute orders.

    The Man of the Tempo

What keeps Jean-François going after three decades? Everything. He loves the pace, the human connection with producers, and the adrenaline of stock management (inflows/outflows). At LM, he is more than just a buyer; he is the essential bridge between the land of Reunion Island and the consumer's plate.

  • Benjamin HOAREAU

    Benjamin HOAREAU

    Alternant MPO

    The Architect of Operational Excellence

At 25, Benjamin isn't just following a pre-set career path: he is building it, project by project. Currently pursuing a Master’s degree while completing his fourth consecutive year as a work-study apprentice at LM, he brings a fresh, "360-degree" perspective to the company’s logistical and industrial organization.

    A multi-task manager

Benjamin’s destiny could have been written on the sports field. Originally a sports science student (STAPS), an accident forced him to give up his passion and completely reorient his career. Far from being discouraged, he chose logistics—a sector that resonates with his roots. Coming from a family of farmers, working with fruits and vegetables felt like a natural choice, a return to his origins through a technical lens.

After earning a BTS (Advanced Technician's Certificate) and a Bachelor's degree, he is now preparing for a Master’s in MPO (Expert in Industrial Project Management and Operational Excellence). It is a complex title that masks a simple mission: optimizing every cog in the corporate machine.

    The Management

As an Assistant to the Logistics and Risk Prevention Management, Benjamin is on all fronts. No two days are alike, revolving around four strategic pillars:

    • Prevention and Safety: Monitoring on-site risks.

    • Technical and Environmental: Optimizing infrastructure and the company's footprint.

    • Logistics and Transport: The "core of the reactor" for product delivery.

    • Colipays: Providing direct management assistance for this specific branch.

To manage this diversity, he applies a rigorous method: every morning, he reviews his tasks to rank his priorities. It is this variety that fuels his passion: "Because it’s so varied, I never get bored and I’m always eager to learn."

    A Taste for Complex Challenges

Benjamin is preparing to become an expert in complex project management. His vision isn’t limited to a single task; he enjoys designing a project from the initial idea to its completion, managing both budgets and teams along the way.

What defines him? An insatiable thirst for learning and an ability to project himself into the future. For him, the LM Group is the ideal playground because it "is constantly seeking performance."

"I am doing my studies to earn a position, but I will take the one that allows me to keep evolving the group."

    A Lasting Commitment

Despite the difficulties of his initial search (over 60 resumes sent and a dozen interviews before being recruited by LM), Benjamin has proven his worth. Today, he cannot see himself anywhere else. At the end of his Master’s degree, he intends to "convert the try" and establish a long-term future within the company that gave him a chance and whose growth ambitions he shares.
