SICATR: Innovation and technical support for an efficient local agriculture
The SICATR cooperative has developed a robust agricultural model, combining modern infrastructure and cutting-edge technical expertise. It currently operates 480 hectares of greenhouses, combining polycarbonate and tarpaulin structures, as well as 22 hectares of soilless crops grown on coconut fiber, supplemented by 7,200 m² of hydroponic crops.
Keen to diversify and improve the profitability of local production, SICATR technicians are actively working to develop the small red fruit sector (strawberries, blackberries, and raspberries). Their approach consists of implementing appropriate techniques and structures, thereby optimizing the yields and quality of these products.
At the same time, SICATR, through its subsidiary ITR, is committed to ensuring a continuous supply of quality equipment and inputs for farmers. Thanks to long-term partnerships with trusted suppliers, the cooperative guarantees the availability of high-performance equipment and fertilizer formulas tailored to each type of crop. ITR plays an essential role in the cooperative’s agricultural projects by providing the necessary resources on time.
