Our core
business
Quality and freshness at the heart of our business
LM works closely with producers to define quality criteria that meet market expectations and needs: varieties, appearance, sizes, quantities, and seasonality. Compiled in a set of specifications, these criteria ensure a supply of high-quality fresh produce and improve its availability throughout the year. For fruits that cannot be produced in Reunion, LM selects the best products from around the world to offer Reunion residents a diverse and healthy diet.
Supply
A rigorous selection process
LM works closely with producers to establish specifications (varieties, sizes, seasonality, etc.) that guarantee a year-round supply of fresh, high-quality fruit and vegetables in Reunion, supplementing the local offering with a selection of the world's best brands.
Storage
The integrity of each fruit and vegetable preserved
Upon arrival at the warehouse, fruits and vegetables are sorted and undergo a compliance check. They are then stored in separate rooms, adapted to their specific temperature and humidity requirements, including a space reserved for organic produce.
Traceability and control
Strict procedures for impeccable quality
LM's quality department ensures complete traceability for each product, from the production plot to the customer. Experts carry out rigorous checks at three stages: on receipt (visual, temperature, physical and chemical), during storage (daily monitoring), and before shipment (compliance and packaging).
Packaging
The keys to optimal distribution
LM considers packaging to be an essential link in ensuring the quality and freshness of products from the producer to the point of sale. The company is committed to a strong environmental approach, actively seeking alternatives to single-use plastics and promoting the use of recyclable materials such as cardboard.
Distribution
Optimized daily deliveries
Deliveries, made six days a week by refrigerated vehicles with separate compartments, are optimized to reduce the environmental footprint.
Less than 24 hours generally elapse between harvesting and the arrival of products on store shelves.
