LM is Committed to a Greener Réunion !

At LM, our deep connection to the fruits and vegetables of our Réunion land drives an essential responsibility: that of protecting our environment. That is why, for the past two years, our Environmental Committee has been taking concrete action for a more sustainable future on our island

Our Environmental Committee has clear objectives and measurable actions. We are committed to reducing our water consumption, a precious resource, by optimizing its use at all levels of our operations. We also aim for a significant decrease in our electricity consumption, by optimizing our facilities and raising awareness among our teams for a more responsible use of energy. Finally, we are actively exploring solutions to reduce our transport-related emissions, by optimizing our routes and favoring greener modes of transport.

But our commitment goes further! The Environmental Committee also implements concrete, local actions to protect our island. We organize waste collection operations to preserve our magnificent landscapes. To fight against waste, we are developing anti-waste baskets (or anti-waste boxes) that allow us to utilize unsold but still consumable fruits and vegetables. And to support our community, we make regular donations to local associations, thus ensuring that our products benefit those most in need.

Preserving our island also means promoting the land that nourishes us and the professions that take care of it. By supporting environmentally friendly production, we ensure the sustainability of this essential expertise and the quality of our products. Every small action, every responsible gesture, when multiplied by the commitment of everyone, has a true and positive impact on our beautiful Réunion. This Environmental Committee is a reflection of our desire to be agents of change.

At LM, we work towards a future where the flavor of our fruits and vegetables goes hand-in-hand with respect for our environment.
